Evening teas, social and cultural events regularly organised by the Thomas Bata Foundation offer another interesting programme. In the first quarter of 2025, come and enjoy unique experiences in an inspiring environment, with a good tea in hand. Among others, the singer and songwriter Lou Fanánek Hagen will visit the Bata Villa.

The tradition of the so-called tea gathering, which was established in the 1920s by Marie and Tomáš Baťa, was resumed by the Thomas Bata Foundation in the autumn of 2022 and the cultural programme in the famous villa where the world-renowned entrepreneur and his wife lived immediately became an integral part of social life in Zlín. Each month, the Bata Villa hosts thematic talks, chamber concerts and interesting lectures. What awaits you in the first quarter of 2025?

On Wednesday 22 January, a special discussion with a prominent face of the Czech music scene will take place. Lou Fanánek Hagen - song writer, singer and frontman of the now legendary band Tři sestry - will visit the Bata Villa. A slight look back will be in order, as the "Sisters" will celebrate 40 years on the scene in 2025, but there will of course be many more topics to discuss. After all, it's no secret that Fanánek's artistic range is wide and varied.

On Thursday, 27 February, Gabriela Končitíková, writer, lecturer and director of the Thomas Bata Foundation, will present her fresh book Inspired the Bata Way II, but she will also reveal why "baťoviny" (or how to use Bata philosophy in everyday life) are so timeless and applicable to everyday life even today, not to mention the fact that they are more and more sought after by the general public.

On Thursday, 20 March, we will be walking across Venezuela with the traveller Jan Rendl, who will return to the Bata Villa after some time with another adventurous lecture. Are you wondering what Venezuela is really like? Jan Rendl set out to find out on his own at the turn of 2023 and 2024, and he did it in his own way - he crossed the country on foot to get the most realistic view possible.

The Bata Villa capacity is limited, so it is necessary to buy tickets in time, directly on the website www.nadacetomasebati.cz. The ticket price is CZK 99.
