In the second week of September, the traditional - this time the seventh edition of the Bata Week Festival took place. This year was dedicated to important personalities who worked closely with Tomas Bata. Every day there was a thematic discussion with a renowned expert on the given topic, and the public was also offered guided tours of the Villa. There were lectures by historian Zdeněk Pokluda (he lectured on the personality of Dominik Čipera), historian Jana Wohlmuth Markupová (on the personality of Hugo Vavrečka), historian Zdeněk Lukeš (on the personality of Vladimír Karfík) and historian Hana Kuslová (on the personality of Jan Antonín Bata). The last evening of the festival was dedicated to the memory of Tomas Bata junior, during which the new publication “Švec s posláním” (Shoemaker with the mission) was presented to the public. Pavel Velev (long-time director of the Tomas Bata Foundation), Miroslav Hovořák (long-time executive of the Tomas Bata Forests and Estates company), Petr Sáha (long-time rector of the Tomas Bata University in Zlín) and Oldřich Rybařík (memorialist) recalled TBJ. As part of the final after-party, the band Šufunky Gang from Zlín performed in the garden at Bata Villa.
In total, 912 people participated in the seventh year of the Bata Week Festival.
